Originally the Oscar Graff Winery, subsequently Müller-Melsheimer, these days "Die Graifen".
At the turn of the last century the Oscar Graff wine empire occupied several large buildings along Trarbach’s riverside promenade. At the centre was the Neo-Classical residence erected by his father Dr. Carl Graff in 1843 at the outwash of the Kautenbach. Beneath this building was an extensive cellar complex split into a number of sections. One unique feature is the square cellar with stellar vaulting which has aesthetic arches resting on square iron-reinforced pillars.
To the side of this cellar are further barrel vaults which also feature impressive pillars. Together with the glass lined concrete tanks installed post-1900 and an enormous bottle store, the complex boasted an overall storage capacity of several hundred thousand litres.
