Vaulted cellar formerly belonging to the Marschlewski-Emmerich Winery, now Artur Mentges Organic Wines.
The building on Beerenbruchstraße (no. 15) was built by Wolf resident Adolf Hermann Emmerich in 1885.
The building at the front featured a shipping cellar, a smaller barrel cellar, two bottle-washing sinks and compartments for stacking bottles. Cow byres and a distillery were housed at ground level. The rear building boasted barrel cellars over two floors, with space for at least eighty tun casks. The ground floor of the production premises was given over to offices and workers’ quarters.
Since 2001 Sabine and Artur Mentges have run the winery as dedicated advocates of organic viticulture.
